ALBERT LEA, Minn. – The Freeborn County Fair in Albert Lea is continuing this weekend.
Saturday, fair officials are pulling out all the stops to make today special for kids.
It is the annual kid’s day at the fair.
Fair-goers under the age of 18 can enjoy midway rides at a discounted price; there’s also special drawings for prizes.
But it’s not just the attractions making this day at the fair kid-friendly
“This is our second year that there’s no smoking on the fairgrounds during kid’s day. We want to be a smoke free environment. We ask people that if they do need to smoke, we have designated areas around the fairgrounds where they can go and smoke,” says Freeborn County Fair Vice President Mike Woitas.
The goal of kid’s day is to spark interest in the county fair with the next generation of fair-goers. The Freeborn County Fair continues through Sunday.
