MASON CITY, Iowa – A Mason City man accused of shooting two people with an air soft gun and stabbing one of the victims, has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
25-year-old Bradley Heinold has agreed to plead guilty to willful injury resulting in serious injury. In return, the Cerro Gordo County Attorney’s office will ask the court to dismiss a charge of assault causing bodily injury.
On May 26th, Heinold allegedly shot 31-year-old Kevin Jones and 20-year-old Aleah Duda with an air soft gun. Heinold is also alleged to have stabbed Jones in the side. Jones was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa and treated for his injuries.
A judge must approve the plea deal before it becomes official.
