CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – A task force is being recommended for a north Iowa town, to look into bringing a veterans memorial to Clear Lake. Originally, the area at the Sea Wall was proposed as a location for a possible memorial. However, the Parks and Rec advisory board had advised not to build in this location, and on Monday night, the Clear Lake City Council affirmed that. However, they do want to form a task force to look at other possible locations. Now, a task force recommendation will have to be put together, and brought back to the council. A memorial would be built on Clear Lake city property.
