CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A local theater is seeing new management take over, but they still want to keep their Charles City traditions in play.
There are many practices at the Charles Theater. Volunteers run the show, as they have for years, and they want to keep it clean when it comes to the movies they show. Right now, they focus on playing family friendly flicks. The only thing changing, is the manager.
“I really enjoy the theater, I really support it. I think it’s great for our community, and I just saw it as a way to continue working there,” said Karen Youngerman the new manager.
Youngerman said she worked at the theater years ago. Another tradition she won’t be changing is the two dollar ticket price.
