East Side Liquor robbery investigation continues

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Investigations continue in southern Minnesota as authorities in Albert Lea are still looking for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery over the weekend.

Authorities with the Albert Lea Police Department tell us the incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Friday evening. We are told that two armed individuals entered East Side Liquor in Albert Lea, approached two of the store clerks, robbed them and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police reports indicate that only one person, an unidentified 22-year-old, was injured during the incident, and officials say that the individual was treated for non-life threatening injuries by the Albert Lea Mayo Clinic Health System.

Lt. Darin Palmer with the Albert Lea Police Department tells us authorities are still looking for the two subjects, and that if anyone from the area has any information about their whereabouts, or other connections to the robbery, they should contact the Albert Lea Police Department at (507) 277-5215.
