ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Destination Medical Center project or DMC continues to take steps toward reality in Rochester.
On Thursday, officials with the DMC showed off some concepts of what the med-city might look like two decades from now. The concepts show a number of possibilities including districts and transportation hubs. However, they are just concepts and those with DMC hope you can give them some feedback. “We’ve had some input before but we are getting close to the time when they want to start finalizing some of the plans so it’s really important to have the community engagement and feedback on the concepts they are thinking about,” DMC Ambassador Tia Calvert said.
The Destination Medical Center became a reality in 2013 with the state legislature approving millions for the Mayo Clinic economic development slated to bring in 40,000 jobs in 20 years. The next DMC public forum will be held on September, 11th.
