ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office has dismissed the charge of hiring a prostitute against Shahid Jamal.
The charge has been dismissed “in the interests of justice.”

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Three people were arrested Thursday and are facing prostitution-related charges.
25-year-old Danielle Pickens, of Hazelton, Iowa, has been charged with engaging in prostitution.
18-year-old Leland Mobley, of Dubuque, Iowa, has been charged with promoting prostitution.
Shahid Jamal, 39, contacted an undercover officer who was pretending to be underage. Jamal, a Rochester resident, has been charged with engaging in prostitution with someone under the age of 18.
“Law enforcement agencies have been, and continue to be, pretty active in doing these sporadic arrest stings to continue to make a point that we don’t permit, we don’t allow [this] in our community,” Olmsted County Attorney Mark Ostrem said.
