ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative are asking members to “power down”.  Both organizations have issued a peak alert due to high demands for electricity throughout the Midwest.  Co-op members are requested to delay any unnecessary electric power usage until after 7 pm Monday.  The cooperatives say that will help keep costs low for their members.
