Secondary auto accident injures three

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Three Minnesotans are hurt after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 218 in Steele County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Ranger driven by 17-year-old Zachary P. Slowinski of Blooming Prairie was disabled in the middle of the highway near milepost 30 after an accident where no injuries occurred.  The Ranger was then struck just before 5:30 am Monday by a Lincoln Town Car driven by 28-year-old Princess C. Meeks of Byron.

Slowinski, Meeks and a passenger in Meeks’ vehicle, 36-year-old Shannon D. Irons of Dexter, all suffered serious injuries in the collision.
