ROCHESTER, Minn. – Police have decided not to file charges against a mother whose child had to be saved from a hot vehicle last week.
Firefighters estimate that the one-year-old was inside between 30-40 minutes before they arrived. Rochester Police believe the doors accidentally locked on the mother and she did everything she could to get her baby outside before calling authorities. Police also say a language barrier made it difficult to understand the woman.
The baby was seen on scene by medical staff but was released.
