MASON CITY, Iowa – The Mason City woman who died in a single vehicle accident near Hanlontown on June 28 had a blood alcohol content over 3 times the legal limit.

The Iowa State Patrol says tests show the BAC of 26-year-old Erika Schneckloth was .255 when she failed to negotiate a curve near the intersection of Highway 9 and 360th Street.  The legal limit for blood alcohol is .08.

Official reports say Schneckloth was westbound on Highway 9 when she went off the road, overcorrected and rolled her vehicle multiple times.  She was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa where she was pronounced dead.
