WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Waterloo police have charged a 26-year-old man with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in front of his home.
Roderick Ward Jr. was charged with first-degree murder Thursday in connection with the Aug. 2nd murder of 27-year-old Gary Wilson. Police say Wilson was at Ward’s house when they started arguing. They say Wilson left and Ward shot him multiple times.
Ward was arrested a few days later on a charge of possession of a weapon by a felon.
He is being held at the Black Hawk County Jail on $1.1 million bond. Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney.
