AUSTIN, Minn. – It is officially spring and the weather may have you in warmer spirits, and a local event has many thinking about even warmer weather and the best ways to enjoy it.
The 41st annual Austin Home and Vacation Show kicked off at 3 p.m. Friday at Packer Arena with 120 exhibitors from all over the area are in one place this weekend to showcase the top gadgets for the summer.
“We’ve got over $10,000 worth of prizes we’re giving away,” said Jay Paul with Power 96, “Every hour we’re going to do a drawing. You’ve got to be here to win, but you also have to be here to register, so it kind of works out.”
There are exclusive deals plus an abundance of prizes and activities for all ages.
“There’s all kinds of things to do. There’s fishing in the trout tank for the Jaycees,” Paul said. “You can either keep the trout yourself, take them home, or just throw them back and let everybody else have their try at them too. It’s fun for the whole family.”
The show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
