UPDATE: The juvenile suspect appeared in Dodge County Circuit Court on Tuesday in front of Judge Jodi Williamson in a closed hearing.
Williamson told those in attendance that due to the nature of the incident and the fact that the suspect is a juvenile, the case is considered confidential. No additional information will be released at this time by the Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE 7:38 p.m.: Authorities say a pursuit of a cement mixer in Dodge County Sunday reached speeds of 71 miles per hour.
The Minnesota State Patrol, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, and police from Kasson and Dodge Center were involved in the pursuit.
The driver is being held in the Juvenile Detention Center in Rochester. Formal charges are expected to be filed Monday.
DODGE CO., Minn. – The driver of a cement truck led law enforcement on a chase for more than an hour Sunday afternoon.
According to Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose, the chase involved a cement mixer stolen from a contractor in Dodge Center by a juvenile at approximately 3 p.m. The chase began on Highway 14 near Kasson, extended to several county roads, and ended when the driver drove the streets of Dodge Center for several minutes. The chase came to a stop near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 5th Street where the juvenile was taken into custody.
Two law enforcement vehicles were damaged by the truck. No injuries are being reported. Authorities say the truck, which traveled several miles without a tire, caused heavy damage to street surfaces. The tally of that damage is still being compiled.
