DODGE CO., Minn. – The driver of a cement truck led law enforcement on a chase for more than an hour Sunday afternoon.

According to Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose, the chase involved a cement mixer stolen from a contractor in Dodge Center by a juvenile at approximately 3 p.m.  The chase began on Highway 14 near Kasson, extended to several county roads, and ended when the driver drove the streets of Dodge Center for several minutes.  The chase came to a stop near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 5th Street where the juvenile was taken into custody.

Two law enforcement vehicles were damaged by the truck.  No injuries are being reported.  Authorities say the truck, which traveled several miles without a tire, caused heavy damage to street surfaces.  The tally of that damage is still being compiled.
