AUSTIN, Minn. – A Mower County man accused of attacking and terrorizing a woman is getting probation for gross misdemeanor domestic assault.
30-year-old Devin Ellsworth Walker of Austin was arrested on March 13. Austin police say he kicked in the door to a woman’s apartment, hit her, broke a plant stand, smashed a side door and stole the woman’s minivan.
Walker was originally charged with two counts of 1st degree burglary, theft, driving after cancellation, 4th degree criminal damage to property and domestic assault.
He entered a guilty plea in May and on Friday, he was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and 50 hours of community service. If Walker does not abide by the terms of his probation, he could serve 213 days in the Mower County Jail.
