MASON CITY, Iowa – Speaking to an estimated crowd of 250 people at Music Man Square, Gov. Mike Pence stressed security.
“I would submit to you that seven and a half years of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s leadership on the world stage has weakened America’s place in the world, and it’s emboldened our enemies,” Pence said.
Pence spent about half of his time at the podium speaking about the need for a new fight in the war on terror, especially considering the terror attacks in New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota from over the weekend.
“America will once again lead on the world stage from strength.” Pence said. “We will rebuild our military, we will stand with our allies, and we will confront radical Islamic terrorism. And the world will be safer as a result.”
Pence was introduced by Iowa House Speaker Linda Upmeyer, of Clear Lake, and Iowa House Candidate Barb Hovland, of Mason City.
