MASON CITY, Iowa- Federal regulators are recalling more than a million Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones after reports of the device catching fire.

There have been nearly 30 cases of people getting burned and more than fifty reports of property damage from fires.

Iowa Cell Phones and Repair owner Philip Biermann had a few ideas of what could be the problem. “Is it a housing that’s not strong enough that causes enough bend in it or anything to cause a puncture? Is there something that they put in there that causes that puncture?

There have been nearly 30 cases of people getting burned and more than fifty reports of property damage from fires.

Regulators have said if you have the Samsung Galaxy Note7, you’re advised to stop using it and power down immediately.
