Southern Minnesota teen pleads guilty to reckless driving

BYRON, Minn. – A teenager who allegedly fled from Olmsted County sheriff’s deputies is pleading guilty to reckless driving.

18-year-old Nicholas Michael Douglas of Houston was arrested the night of May 28 after law enforcement says he led them on a chase through Byron.  When he was finally stopped, Douglas reportedly told deputies he thought someone else was chasing him.

Douglas was charged with fleeing a peace officer, reckless driving, failing to stop at a stop sign and speeding.  He entered a guilty plea to reckless driving and will be sentenced on November 14.
