MASON CITY, Iowa – A North Iowa man is pleading not guilty to charges of 1st degree theft and 2nd degree burglary.

27-year-old Mitch Buesing of Mason City was arrested on September 3 after he was identified as a suspect in a burglary at 21910 Owl Avenue in Cerro Gordo County.  A trial on this matter has been scheduled for October 25.

Buesing is also facing a charge of interference with official acts after running away from law enforcement when they tried to arrest him on September 13.  He was found after about 90 minutes in an area of swampland near his house.  A non-jury trial on that charge is set for October 20.
