More charges against Mason City man

MASON CITY, Iowa – The man accused of stealing from a North Iowa bar is now charged with four other burglaries.

52-year-old Johnny Lee Baugh of Mason City was arrested on September 2 and charged with breaking into Tailgater’s in Mason City early that morning.  At the time of his arrest, police indicated more charges were possible and Baugh is now accused of breaking into four businesses in Clear Lake and Ventura.

Baugh allegedly burglarized District 619 on July 27 and Country Landscapes, Dairy Queen and Mexican Authentic Foods and Breakfast on August 12.

Baugh is pleading not guilty to five counts of 3rd degree burglary and one count of ongoing criminal conduct.  His trial is scheduled for October 25.
