ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Virginia man is pleading not guilty to threatening people at a Stewartville bar.
23-year-old John Christian Jessel Jr. of Powhatan, VA, is charged with possession of stolen property, threats of violence and dangerous weapons. He was arrested after the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to a panic alarm at Skip N Dales on March 12.
A witness said Jessel had been threatening people inside and outside the bar and a stolen gun was recovered by authorities. Jessel was arrested when he allegedly came back to claim the gun.
Jessel entered not guilty pleas Wednesday and his trial is scheduled for January 23.
