CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – A second man is going to federal prison thanks to a Forest City drug bust.
28-year-old Dontavious Cunningham of Forest City was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. That follows his trial and conviction on a charge of unlawful transport of firearms.
Dontavious and Mark Cunningham were arrested in December, 2015, after a law enforcement search of the Village Chateau hotel. Mark Cunningham entered guilty pleas to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison, with four years of supervised release.
