KIMT-TV 3 – Two state highways in southern Minnesota remain closed Friday due to flooding.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 105 is shut down from 120th Street, near Lyle, to 160th Street, two miles south of Austin.  Highway 65/Main Street in Albert Lea is also closed at Katherine Street.  Local detours are in place.

Highway 58 at Zumbrota did reopen overnight as floodwaters from the Zumbro River receded.

MnDOT reminds drivers that it is illegal to travel on a closed road.  Fines of up to $1,000 and 90 day jail sentences are possible and if a motorist needs to be rescued, other expenses and penalties will apply.
