UPDATE: Investigation ongoing after Stewartville knife incident

UPDATE: Olmsted County authorities say there is no threat to the public after a reported knife incident over the weekend.

It happened around 9:11 p.m. Saturday. Olmsted County deputies responded to the 2200 block of Petersen Drive NW in Stewartville where they found the 38-year-old male victim the foyer with superficial stab wounds to the abdomen.

He told investigators he heard a noise in the garage and went outside to check on it when he was struck in the head by an unknown object. He fell and when he got up, he says an unknown person speaking Spanish assaulted him with a knife. There are no suspects.

The victim was treated for his wounds and released. The investigation is ongoing.

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. – One person was hospitalized after an incident involving a knife in Stewartville Saturday night.

Authorities were called to a home at around 9 p.m.  There is no word on the hospitalized person’s condition, or what caused the person’s injuries.

Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson says there is no threat to the public, and more information will likely be released Monday.
