ROCHESTER, Minn. – Two men have received probation for a shooting incident after an alleged drug deal.
21-year-old Jamil Lamon James of Chatfield and 23-year-old Keith Marcus West of Rochester both entered guilty pleas to 2nd degree assault for an incident on February 22 when they were accused of firing at people while driving away from an apparent drug deal.
Both men have received seven years of supervised probation. James was also sentenced to spend 180 days in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, with credit for 9 days already served. West was given 179 days in jail but credit for 179 days already served.
Each man must also do 100 hours of community service.
