Training for the worst

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Although thousands of flights land safely each year at the Rochester International Airport, officials want to prepare for the worst.

Members of the Rochester Fire Department got to see hands-on what airport fire crews work with. That includes their specialized equipment that can get inside a plane and hopefully put out the flames. The airport needs mutual aid for not only water to put out the blaze but also to take care of possible injured passengers.

Officials say they do this at least a few times a year.
