ROCHESTER, Minn. – For nearly 1,000 local juniors and seniors it might have been a day away from the classroom but what they learned on Tuesday could go a long way for their career.
Mayo Clinic’s Health Care Career Festival was held at RCTC with about 900 students attending from 50 Southern Minnesota high schools. Not only were students able to visit 50 booths or so but some of them were able to get hands-on experience. We are told they also could attend classroom sessions where professionals would talk more about the healthcare field. Those with Mayo Clinic tell us this is key for them to keep doing and to keep students interested in health, especially with Destination Medical Center coming soon.
