AUSTIN, Minn.- After over three years in the making, Austin Utilities moved into their new home a few months ago and now they’re letting the public get a firsthand look.
An open house is being held Wednesday for those interested in getting a tour of the facility. Before their relocation, Austin Utilities had six different locations and this move combines them all into one.
Employees believe the move isn’t just benefiting workers, but customers as well.
This open house is a way for community members to see how Austin Utilities work.
“Having the opportunity to share this with the community we serve is really important,” said Mark Nibaur, General Manager for Austin Utilities. “It’s not only a way to see the building, but to get an understanding of what we do and how we do it.”
The open house is going on until 7 PM.
