CERRO GORDO CO., Iowa – The Cerro Gordo County election system will be publicly tested beginning at 9 a.m. Monday in the Election Annex at 121 Third Street NW.
In the 2016 General Election, voters will vote on paper ballots that will be counted with optical-scan machines, according to a news release from County Auditor Ken Kline. A ballot-marking machine will be available in each precinct for any voter who needs assistance marking the ballot.
Iowa law requires a test of the election system before each election. The test is open to the public.
Additional election and voter registration information can be seen at the Cerro Gordo County website at www.co.cerro-gordo.ia.us.
