OSAGE, Iowa- Socktoberfest is being held at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds Oct. 7-9.
Tables are full of variety of locally made socks by Fox River Mills, from outdoor socks to heavy athletic socks. A pair of socks cost between $1-3.
Jim Kramer with Fox River Mills said all of the money made goes into supporting the Rotary International Osage, Kiwanis International Osage, and Lions Clubs International Osage. “Then which distributes their funds to other local charities here in Osage and the Mitchell County area.”
Kramer said Fox River Mills has been around since 1900. He said their company is one of the oldest sock manufacturers in the country and all socks are made in Osage.
