Rochester man pleads guilty in hit-and-run

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A guilty plea has been entered in a hit-and-run crash in Rochester.

30-year-old Matthew Joseph Klaus of Rochester is pleading guilty to felony DWI and criminal vehicular operation.  Police say the collision happened the evening of August 29 at the intersection of 12th Street and 11th Avenue SE.  Both Klaus and the other driver suffered minor injuries.

Klaus, however, allegedly took off on foot and officers only caught him after he ran through several backyards.

Sentencing in this case is set for November 28.
