OSAGE, Iowa – Family of Nicholas Lenz weren’t the only ones sitting in the Mitchell County Courtroom on Thursday.
One local school has students filling up rows to observe. More than a dozen Osage juniors and seniors got to see what court is really like. They’re learning about law, who’s present in courtrooms and how it all works.
“Actually experiencing an actual court case was really an eye-opener. The whole process was very interesting, the testimony and witnesses,” said David Curha, a senior at Osage High School.
Students stayed until around noon. We are expecting the Lenz case to continue into next week.
