Third guilty plea in school vandalism

FOREST CITY, Iowa – A third teen accused of vandalizing a high school is pleading guilty.

18-year-old Joseph Cronkwright of Leland has entered a guilty plea to 3rd degree criminal mischief and been given a deferred judgment.  He will spend one year on probation and must pay a $625 fine.

Cronkwright and Pierce Gelhaus, Timothy Thompson and Blake Jacobs, all of Forest City, were arrested for allegedly entering Forest City High School on May 22 and causing over $1,400 in damage.

Gelhaus and Thompson previously pled guilty to 3rd degree criminal mischief.  They also received deferred judgments, two years of probation and $625 fines.

Jacobs is still pleading not guilty and is scheduled to stand trial on December 14.
