Minneapolis, Minn.- After a month long strike nurses in Minneapolis are officially back at work. Allina nurses in the Twin Cities area were on strike against five Allina Health Hospitals.
A spokesman for the Minnesota Nurses Association says the nurses returned to work today. About 4,000
Nurses had been on strike since Labor Day and health insurance benefits were a major issue.
They came to an agreement on Thursday and it improves workplace safety issues, staffing policies and ensures health benefits won’t be reduced.
