CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A Floyd County man accused of stabbing his nephew has been sentenced to probation.
31-year-old David Laviell Jordan of Charles City entered a guilty plea to one count of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and was given time served, two years of probation and a $625 fine.
Authorities say Jordan went to 1004 South Main Street in Charles City to confront his nephew about his belongings when an argument broke out. Both men allegedly pulled knives and Jordan stabbed his nephew in the hand, causing him to bleed.
This incident happened on September 12.
