ALBERT LEA, Minn.- Albert Lea’s city hall is having some construction work done these next couple of days.
The city of Albert Lea and St. Theodore’s Catholic Church are teaming up to reduce flooding in their parking lots. Construction workers are putting in a water drain.
When it rains a lot this area the intersection is flooded and it backs up traffic and with last month’s storms officials thought this was a great time to get this project done.
“By the storm drain being added it’s going to get the water out of here faster,” said Chad Adams, Albert Lea City Manager. “It probably won’t resolve it entirely just based on the elevation, but when we have these small opportunities like this it’ll make a huge difference.”
He says the project will be done next week.
