ROCHESTER, Minn. – A drug court just starting off in Olmsted County is getting a big boost from the federal government.
The drug court in Olmsted County is getting $350,000 from the Department of Justice. We are told the funds will be used to add more staff which hopefully will increase the amount of people who can be in the program. Right now there are a handful of participants but that number could rise to 10 by the end of the year. Officials say not only does this save money in the long-term for the criminal justice system but also having better outcomes for people who struggle with addiction.
