CHARLES CITY, Iowa – U.S. Cellular is giving $1,000 to the Floyd County Youth Enrichment Center.
The money is coming from the company’s Community Connections program, where supporters of the Center went online to earn points by doing things like visiting U.S. Cellular’s website, following U.S. Cellular on social media or answering a short survey. Those points are then converted into dollars, which in this case will be used to purchase tables, chairs and kitchen equipment.
“As a neighbor and member of the community, U.S. Cellular is committed to supporting programs and organizations that have a positive impact in the lives of our youth,” said Mike Adams, the company’s director of sales in Iowa and Nebraska. “These organizations provide valuable learning experiences. This program provides an easy and fun way for the community to rally together to support them.”
The Community Connections program has provided $300,000 to youth organizations and school groups so far in 2016.
