Charles City, Iowa – After facing severe flooding and damage last month, a local town is back on a flood warning due to recent rain.
Charles City was issued a flood warning for the Cedar River on Wednesday.
Bracket street was closed down since it is typically an area that is first to flood and is a watershed area.
The road is currently open.
Captain Brandon Frankie, Charles City Police Department says it is not common to receive flooding around this time of the year.
“It’s up a little late getting in the year for flooding, but it happens when you live in a river town and you can got to roll with it.,” says Frankie.
