Rochester man accused of assault pleads guilty to lesser charge

ROCHESTER, Minn. – There’s been a guilty plea in the case of a man allegedly attacking his fiancée.

68-year-old Robert Norman Adler, now listed as living in Rochester, entered a guilty plea Thursday to violating a domestic abuse no contact order.  Originally, he had also been charged with 2nd degree assault, domestic assault and false imprisonment for an incident on September 10 in Rochester.  Those charges have been dismissed.

Adler was accused of assaulting a 62-year-old woman, pushing her onto a bed a pulling out a knife.

He’s been sentenced to one year of supervised probation.
