CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – One local school is celebrating a little piece of history.
Students at Clear Lake Classical told an audience about what happened on October 31st in 1517. Martin Luther nailed a 95 page thesis to castle church in Germany. This presented the Bible in a language many for the first time could read for themselves.
“Reformation Day is important. It’s an historical event. It changed the course of history. It wasn’t just one guy, one gal, it was a number of people who were committed to an idea,” Cory Gerdts, Headmaster of Clear Lake Classical explained.
Kids made sure to dress up with what may have been worn back in 1517.
