Man faces DWI charge after reaching speeds of 102 mph


OLMSTED CO., Minn. – A man faces charges after authorities say he was clocked going 102 mph while driving drunk early Saturday morning.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was on patrol a little before 3:30 a.m. near College View Road and 50th Ave. SE. The deputy saw a vehicle headed west on College View Road, at one point reaching 102 mph in a 55 mph zone.

When he was stopped, 20-year-old Zachery Sikkink claimed he was the designated driver but blew a 0.10.

He faces charged of third-degree DWI and speeding.
