HOPKINTON, Iowa – Two men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a small town bank.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says two armed men wearing masks and dark colored clothing entered Citizens State Bank in Hopkinton on October 21 and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
On October 25, the DCI presented several photos of a person and a vehicle and asked for help in identifying the bank robbery suspects. Through law enforcement cooperation, witness information and assistance from the public, two men were identified.
On October 28, arrest warrants were issued for 27-year-old Daniel Jackson and 28-year-old Jason Centeno, both from Younkers, New York.
Jackson and Centeno were then found in Daytona Beach, Florida, on October 29 and taken into custody. They are currently awaiting extradition back to Iowa on charges of 1st degree robbery.
