MASON CITY, Iowa- You may have noticed some new store fronts throughout Mason City and much of Iowa as Yesway convenient stores start to quickly expand.
On Friday, the Yesway on South Federal Avenue held a ribbon cutting ceremony with several local and state representatives in attendance.
Those with the company say they currently have about 31 stores and hope to have 250 by this time next year.
Darrin Samaha, the company Vice President and Brand Manager, says they will be looking to get more involved in the community by donating funds to the Citizen Emergency Management team.
“It was a natural alignment of values with CERT and Yesway,” says Samaha. “We couldn’t be more proud to be a part of what they are doing and support their initiative. In times of trouble you can go knock on your neighbors door and these are the people that are going to do that and supporting first responders.”
