MASON CITY, Iowa – The man charged in a shooting outside Southbridge Mall in Mason City has entered a not guilty plea and now has a trial set.
Court records show Revell Toney, 19, entered a written plea to charges of attempted murder and firearm possession by a felon. Police say he fired several rounds from a 9 mm handgun that struck a victim multiple times. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition after the October 23 incident.
Toney’s trial is set for December 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse.
