ST. PAUL, Minn. – A teen is injured after a car/semi collision in Freeborn County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 26-year-old Andrew J. Yauger of Mankato was driving a semi east on Highway 251, east of Hollandale, around 3:13 pm Wednesday.  The semi’s brake lights and turn signals were not working and as it slowed to make a right turn onto 865th Avenue, the car driven by 17-year-old Caleb T. Brenegan of Hollandale tried to pass on the right.

The crash sent the car rolling into the ditch, where it stopped on its roof.

Brenegan was taken to the hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.  Yauger was not harmed.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and the Hollandale Fire Department assisted at the scene.
