UPDATE: Man arrested with meth, 23 guns stole identity to buy weapons

UPDATE: Rochester police say a man arrested on drug charges in early November was able to buy some of the 23 guns he was arrested with by using a stolen identity.

Officers say 32-year-old Shane Edwards stole a 36-year-old Faribault man’s identity and permit to purchase.

When Edwards and 34-year-old Madelyn Sundman were arrested, police reportedly found evidence that they were selling at least a quarter to a half ounce of meth at a time.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Two people were arrested Tuesday when police found 11 grams of meth and 23 guns while executing a search warrant.

Around 3:30 p.m. at 2315 Park Lane SE, lot 6, officers found the drug and guns, along with evidence that 32-year-old Shane Edwards and 34-year-old Madelyn Sundman were selling at least a quarter to a half ounce of meth at a time.

The guns police found included an AK-47, AR-15, AR-10, handguns and long guns. Both Edwards and Sundman are facing possible charges of first-degree aggravated controlled substance sales and third-degree possession.
