MASON CITY, Iowa- The Mason City Airport Board of Commissions met in a special session Monday to approve an agreement between Air Choice One, the City of Mason city and Fort Dodge for the next 4 years.
The Mason City Board approved the proposal. Those with the board say the community support for Air Choice One helped in the decision making process.
“With what the Minneapolis hub and the Chicago hub offers today to the passengers of both of those communities, it’s a win-win situation for everyone,” says Pamela Osgood, the Mason City Airport Manager.
Osgood says this proposal is just a recommendation which they will be sending to the US Department of Transportation to approve. She says they have until early 2017 to do so.
