Both the Albert Lea Police Department and the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office put up a perimeter to search the area.  However, they found no suspect.

The suspect stole $220 and no one was injured.alrob1

“We have some video footage we’re reviewing and getting the work out to the media to try and find them,” said Carlson. “We don’t always catch the smart ones. Someone is going to talk or someone is going to indicate something and we’re eager to receive that information from the community.”

The K9 unit was also on scene and since he couldn’t make out a scent, Carlson believes the suspect got in a car right away.
