AUSTIN, Minn.- The Hormel Institute hosted the University of Minnesota Board of Regents on Wednesday. This annual event gives the Board the opportunity to see what scientists are doing at Hormel.
The board sat through a presentation about the research the Institute is working on and went on a little tour of the new facility.
It’s their way to see firsthand what is going on at Hormel Institute.
“When we hear the research and collaborations of this Institute with other schools of higher learning not only throughout the United States, but throughout the world is great,” said Dean Johnson, Chairman of Board of Regents. “This is a gem here in southeastern Minnesota.”
Throughout the year, the board tours all the campuses in the UMN system.
